Meet Our Lead Instructors
Jack Lee
Jack started his teaching career after volunteering in a local school while working in a real estate office. He now has over 11 years of experience in 3 schools and a bachelor’s degree in Education. His roles have included Key Stage 3 Leader and Assistant Head of Junior School. Today, Jack works as a specialist freelancer and enjoys writing educational publications. As a parent, he is able to see schools and learning from several perspectives. Jack places a high value on easy access to high-quality learning. This extends beyond school students to adult learners and qualified professionals.
Zoya Hank
Zoya comes to us with a broad range of experience in the education sector. For over 5 years, she worked as a lead teacher at a further education college, where she organized a team of 3 tutors. She then moved on to work as a consultant to colleges across the United Kingdom. More recently she has shifted her focus to early education where she has undertaken extensive research in young learner development and early years pedagogy. As a teacher educator and an instructor at Upskill Academy, Zoya is committed to helping students gain the skills they need to better themselves personally and professionally.
Alex Jones
Alex has worked as a teacher in the UAE and North America and brings a wealth of experience from working in both junior and senior high schools. For the last 2 years, he has worked with many trainee teachers as a teacher educator. Since becoming an instructor at Upskill Academy, Alex finds supporting teachers at the start of their career to be an incredibly rewarding experience.
Chris Parker
Chris has built up 10 years of experience as a teacher and instructor. He previously taught early years at a school that was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (the United Kingdom’s Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills). Chris has also led many school improvement projects and specializes in curriculum design and school leadership.
